Our Animals

Students have the opportunity to interact with a variety of animals on campus. Here at Austin, all classrooms are required to have a living organism whether it be a class pet or plant. While most of our animals live in our Environmental Science Classroom (one of our specials rotation), you can walk around and see living organisms all around our campus!

Free Range Chickens

Austin has a fully equipped coop where our chickens can free range. Powered by solar energy, our coop is provided with clean energy allowing access to heat and cool air year round. Our students help maintain our chicken coop through daily egg collection, clean ups, and feedings. The eggs are sold to the community and money raised goes back into our animals!
