During science, students have been learning about physical properties of matter. During this unit students learned how to classify matter based on their observable physical properties. To finish up this unit, students took the information they learned in school and applied it at home through a hands-on investigation of building a bridge. Students were to construct a bridge using various materials found around their home, explain the materials they used to construct their bridge, and the process they took.

En la clase de ciencias, los alumnos han estado explorando las propiedades físicas de la materia. A lo largo de esta unidad, aprendieron a clasificar la materia según sus características físicas observables. Para cerrar la unidad, pusieron en práctica lo aprendido en clase en casa con una actividad: la construcción de un puente. Los estudiantes tenían que hacer un puente con diferentes materiales que encontraran en su hogar, explicar los materiales que usaron y el proceso que siguieron.
